What a Night!

Thoughts for Dessert;

The banquet is once again concluded, and the lingering post dinner conversations having filled the remainder of that night, we are left with the pleasant echoes of a truly enjoyable evening. So many friends, so much good will and encouragement come often in the nick of time, and last week was no different. The whole school (meaning students, parents, supporters from many places) lifted our communal spirit and gave thanks for our past while we committed one to another for the future.  Importantly, many contributed with substantial material blessings and we embrace the next school year now refreshed. We attained above 85% of our stated goal for the evening, and contributions have been flying in on the wings of the US Postal Service since. Bless all who serve at this table of education; there is always room for one more!

Fire the Phoenix

Our 3rd Annual Phoenix Rising Benefit Gala was a full house and an unforgettable evening—and it all began with a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Professor Louis Markos opened the night with a profound talk on the urgent need for Classical Christian Education in today’s world. His insight and conviction set the tone for a night of celebration, generosity, and shared purpose.

We were thrilled to announce that students from CAW once again excelled in the Kansas Lutherans for Life essay contest! Congratulations to Caleb F., who received First Prize in the Senior Division, and to our senior Esther Postier, who earned Honorable Mention. We are so proud of their accomplishments.

The evening was filled with laughter, fellowship, and remarkable generosity. Student Ryan Harms brought his signature energy to the stage as auctioneer, raising $1,500 for our Shooting Team through the rifle package auction, and over $1,000 through our special scotch auction.

Thanks to you—our generous guests and donors—we’ve raised over $43,000 toward our $50,000 goal! We’re keeping donations open for two more weeks to help us reach that final milestone.

As we look ahead, the momentum continues. With strong interest and growing community support, we are preparing to double our enrollment next year. Like the phoenix itself, we are rising—renewed, resilient, and reaching ever higher in our mission to form minds and hearts for Christ.

Thank you for walking alongside us. We are deeply grateful for your support and look forward to rising together in the year ahead.

With gratitude, Amanda Carter, Business and Development Manager
